The rule is set to take effect August 1, 2012.  Many non-profit religious employers are not exempt and will be given one year, until August 1, 2013, to comply.  Under the ruling, virtually all the Catholic Church’s ministries, schools, colleges, hospitals, nursing homes, Catholic Charities agencies are deemed not sufficiently Catholic to get an exemption, simply because (as Jesus did) our ministries serve people of all faiths.  For more information go to: Catholic Action Network.  There is a form letter you can send to our congressman and senators.
